As a new year rolls in, American Roads is proud to present the 2012 Winter Edition of American Roads Magazine.
Again in honor of the Sesquicentennial Celebration of the War Between the States, there is a Civil War Trails feature. One of our earlier contributors, John Gifford, had provided you with a great story about a brand new musuem related to the War Between the States in Missouri.
That devastating war is a subject that has and will continue to draw writers because of the dramatic potential and historic significance. My newest novel, Under A Bloody Flag, deals with the roots of that war in Kansas and Missouri. It will be followed by the second book, Under a Black Flag, as a series I called War in the West.
In addition we have a great story about the West from another regular contributor, Tom Straka. One bran new contributor, Persis Granger is giving us a glimpse of life in the Adirondack Mountain. Our other regular contributors, Mary Emma, Anne, Leigh and myself have also provided you some great stories this issue.
